Biography
Amanda is a Principal of our Trade Marks and Brands practice of our Beijing office.
Amanda has been a prominent figure in the trade mark industry since 2004. With over two decades of experience, she specialises in acquiring well-known trade mark recognition, combating bad faith trade mark applications, and advising on the registrability of non-traditional trade marks, including sound marks, color-combination marks, certification marks, and geographic indications.
Amanda’s expertise extends to trade mark transactions, licensing, and integrating IP protection strategies with portfolio management. She also represents clients in negotiations for the development of effective IP policy. Her strategic approach ensures that her client’s IP assets are protected and leveraged for maximum value.
Her diverse client base includes multinational companies in pharmaceuticals, technology and machinery, food and beverage, real estate, education, and fashion. Amanda also provides strategic guidance to Chinese clients on global IP management.
Amanda is a respected voice in the trade mark community. She frequently presents on trade mark and related IP rights at events organised by Trade Commissions and business associations, including the EU Chamber of Commerce in China, INTA, and China Trademark Association. Her articles appear in leading legal publications such as Managing Intellectual Property, World Trademark Review, and China Intellectual Property.
