Biography
Donnie is a Principal and the Head of Guangzhou Litigation at Lusheng Law Firm, a member of the Rouse Network.
Donnie has extensive experience in advising clients on IP protection in China. He also has experience working as a prosecutor for over seven years and is now a PRC licensed lawyer at Lusheng Law Firm.
Donnie and his team have handled a vast amount of high-profile and notable cases, including cases to do with legal actions against trade mark and copyright infringement, and also precedent setting criminal prosecution cases related to certification mark infringement and trade secret infringement.
Donnie is highly recognized for the success of the civil and criminal cases he and his team have handled. A number of these cases have been listed as model cases by different authorities and organizations due to the case’s social impact and/or the high reference value (e.g. IP Protection Model Case in 2018s by China Supreme People’s Procuratorate, Top 10 IP Protection Model Cases in 2017 by China Supreme People’s Procuratorate, Top 50 Model IP Cases in 2016 by China Supreme People’s Court, Top 10 Model Cases of Shanghai in 2013 by Shanghai IP Protection Joint Office, Top 10 Model IP Cases of Shenzhen in 2013 by Shenzhen Court and QBPC Yearly Best Practice Case).
In addition to handling IP issues, Donnie is also the local Compliance Officer where he advises clients on compliance matters including investigating and prosecuting against corruption and bribery. Donnie provides consultancy on compliance, delivering ABAC (anti-bribery and anti-corruption) training and advice on compliance cases.
