Mostafa is Senior Manager and Head of Rouse Egypt's office.
Mostafa provides the full-spectrum of IP legal work and strategic consultancy for the global Rouse Network and its clients. He focuses on leveraging his qualifications and extensive experience to drive the development of trade marks and patent litigation work and overall IP services for the global Network.
Mostafa brings a specialized background in high-stakes IP litigation and enforcement, with significant experience representing pharmaceutical originators in complex disputes against generic companies. His work has involved navigating critical issues such as the Bolar Exemption and Compulsory Licensing in the Egyptian jurisdiction.
Mostafa’s expertise includes representing major companies in the oil and gas sector in significant trade mark infringement and ownership disputes. His practice also extends to complex corporate matters, including advising multinational cement companies on significant acquisition agreements. He has been entrusted with handling numerous trade mark court appeals on behalf of world-renowned multinational companies.
Mostafa holds an LLM from King's College London, where his postgraduate research focused on the tension between Competition Law and Intellectual Property Law in the pharmaceutical sector. He began his career as a civil litigator in 1997, representing major multinational corporations before the Egyptian Court of Appeals and Supreme Court.
