Established by WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organisation), World IP Day was created to increase awareness and understanding of IP. Every year has a different theme; this year’s is “IP and the SDGs [Sustainable Development Goals]: building our common future with innovation and creativity.”
The Sustainable Development Goals are Rouse’s guiding principles. Specifically:
Goal 4: Quality Education
Goal 5: Gender Equality
Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities
Goal 13: Climate Action
We are proud of our reputation as a trusted advisor to some of the world’s most valuable brands and innovators, but we are equally proud to be a conscientious global citizen supporting our local communities, providing pro bono advice to nonprofits and being at the forefront of the relationship between IP rights and the fight against climate change.
